  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 jalape ño pepper (seeded and finely chopped)
  • 1/2 lime (juiced)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat nothing as there is no cooking involved in making guacamole.
  2. Wash your hands and any utensils to ensure cleanliness.
  3. Cut 3-4 avocados in half and remove the pit.
  4. Scoop the avocado flesh into a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice to the avocado flesh.
  6. Mash the avocado using a fork until you reach your desired consistency.
  7. Chop fresh ingredients like onions, tomatoes, or cilantro if you have them, and add them to the bowl.
  8. Season with salt to taste.
  9. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  10. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  11. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  12. Serve with tortilla chips or your favorite dish.
