Cajun Butter Sauce

A sauce made with butter, garlic, and Cajun spices.

Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 tsp (5g) Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp (5g) paprika
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 2 tbsp (30g) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp (30g) chopped scallions for garnish

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic, Cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add lemon juice and heavy cream. Stir to combine.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  5. Garnish with chopped scallions.
