Chicken Alfredo Pasta

A classic Italian dish made with fettuccine pasta, chicken, and a creamy Alfredo sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1 cup (120g) fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup (250ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (120g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  4. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Add heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  7. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 2-3 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  8. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  9. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the cream sauce.
  10. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  11. Serve hot and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
