Easy Garlic Mashed Potatoes

A simple and delicious side dish made with mashed potatoes, garlic, and butter.

  • 3 -4 large potatoes (600-800g)
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced (6g)
  • 1/4 cup milk (60ml)
  • 2 tbsp butter (30g)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Boil 3-4 large potatoes in a large pot of salted water until they are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, 1/2 cup of milk, and 2 cloves of minced garlic to the potatoes.
  5. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or a fork until they are smooth and creamy.
  6. Season the mashed potatoes with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Stir in any additional ingredients, such as grated cheese or chopped herbs, if desired.
  8. Serve the garlic mashed potatoes hot, garnished with chopped chives or scallions, if desired.
