  • 2 1 /4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • Green food coloring
  • Red food coloring
  • Heart -shaped sprinkles

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl until well mixed.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, until fully incorporated.
  5. Mix in vanilla extract until combined.
  6. Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  7. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden brown.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
