- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Mix 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a large bowl.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of active dry yeast and 1/2 cup of whole milk, mixing until a smooth batter forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes elastic and shiny.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out to about 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter or a glass.
- Fry the donuts in hot oil at 350°F (180°C) for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Drain the donuts on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Glaze the donuts with a mixture of 1 cup of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk, adjusting the consistency as needed.
