Honey Glazed Biscuits Recipe

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey for glaze

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Cut cold butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add honey and milk to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, until it becomes smooth.
  6. Roll the dough out to a thickness of about 1 inch (2.5 cm).
  7. Cut out biscuit shapes using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.
  8. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space between each biscuit.
  9. Brush the tops of the biscuits with a little extra honey.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  11. Glaze the biscuits with additional honey while they are still warm.
