  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (adjust to preference)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 ounce vodka or rum (optional, for adult version)

Method
 

Main Instructions
  1. **Heat** milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat until just hot (not boiling, about 170°F).
  2. **Whisk** in honey continuously for 1 minute until fully dissolved and mixture is smooth.
  3. **Stir** in vanilla extract (or scrape seeds from a vanilla bean), cinnamon, nutmeg, and granulated sugar (if using). Mix thoroughly until spices are evenly distributed.
  4. **Optional**: Add vodka or rum to the mixture and simmer for 30 seconds to infuse the alcohol.
  5. **Pour** immediately into serving mugs or over ice for a chilled version. Serve hot.

Notes

Note: Omit sugar if using sweetened milk. Adjust spices/honey to taste. Chill before serving or add ice for a colder version. Avoid boiling milk to prevent scorching. Adjust sweetness or spice levels to taste.
