Lavender Lemonade "Lavenade" Recipe

  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup dried lavender buds
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish
  • Sliced lemons for garnish

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Combine lemon juice, sugar, and water in a large pitcher, stirring until the sugar is dissolved
  2. Add dried lavender buds to the mixture and let it steep for about 10-15 minutes, or until the mixture reaches the desired flavor
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into another pitcher or individual glasses to remove the lavender buds
  4. Serve the Lavenade chilled, garnishing with lemon slices or sprigs of fresh lavender, if desired
  5. Adjust the amount of lavender to taste, as some may find the flavor too potent
