Lemon Butter Chicken

A savory and tangy chicken dish made with lemon butter sauce

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 tsp (5g) dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat
  4. Sear the chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 5-6 minutes per side
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside
  6. Add 2 more tablespoons of butter to the skillet
  7. Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the skillet
  8. Simmer the lemon butter sauce for 2-3 minutes, until slightly reduced
  9. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the lemon butter sauce
  10. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through
  11. Serve hot, garnished with lemon wedges
