- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Mash bananas in a large bowl until they're smooth.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the mashed bananas.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in any additional ingredients, if using, until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely.
