  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 1 /2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg beaten

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 2 teaspoons of baking powder in a large bowl.
  3. Add 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted, to the dry ingredients and stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Combine 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 large egg in a separate bowl, then whisk until well combined.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
  6. Arrange 3 cups of sliced peaches in a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the peaches, covering the entire surface.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream if desired.
