- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
- Mix in red food coloring until the dough is evenly colored.
- Combine dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Scoop the dough into balls, about 1 tablespoon each.
- Roll each ball in powdered sugar to coat, then place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are just slightly soft.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
