- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
- Mix in red food coloring until the dough is evenly colored.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Coat the dough balls in powdered sugar, shaking off excess.
- Place the dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
