  • 2 1 /4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Add butter and use a pastry blender or fingers to work it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in grated cheese until evenly distributed.
  5. Incorporate eggs and milk, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
  6. Fold the dough gently until it comes together in a cohesive mass.
  7. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
  8. Place the balls into a greased 12-cup muffin tin.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown.
  10. Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes.
  11. Transfer the muffins to a wire rack to cool completely.
