Shamrock Shake Recipe

A minty, creamy milkshake perfect for St. Patrick's Day

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 10 -12 drops green food coloring
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup or chocolate shavings

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Combine the vanilla ice cream, milk, and peppermint extract in a blender
  2. Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy, for about 15-20 seconds
  3. Add a few drops of green food coloring to the mixture to give it a green color, if desired
  4. Blend again for another 5-10 seconds, until the color is fully incorporated
  5. Taste the shake and adjust the sweetness or peppermint flavor as needed
  6. Pour the Shamrock Shake into glasses and serve immediately
  7. Garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of green sprinkles or a maraschino cherry, if desired
