- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Slice the bread into 1-inch thick slices
- In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and a pinch of salt until well combined
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat
- Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly
- Place the coated bread slices on the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown
- Butter a baking dish and arrange the cooked French toast slices in it
- Spread a layer of strawberry filling on each French toast slice
- Fold the French toast slices in half to enclose the filling
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the French toast is puffed and the filling is warm
- Serve the strawberry stuffed French toast warm, garnished with additional strawberries if desired
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving
