The Best Fudgy Sea Salt Brownies

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 and 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter (190g)
  • 2 cups of sugar (250g)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder (60g)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour (160g)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (250g)
  • 1 teaspoon of flaky sea salt

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
  2. Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler, stirring occasionally, until smooth
  3. Whisk in sugar until well combined
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract
  5. Sift in flour and salt, then fold into the chocolate mixture until just combined
  6. Stir in sea salt
  7. Pour batter into a lined or greased 8-inch square baking pan
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan
  10. Cut into squares and serve
